Several inmates were stabbed during a prison yard fight Friday at a Maryland corrections facility in Baltimore, authorities said.

The extent of their injuries and the numbered injured wasn't immediately clear.

Department of Corrections spokeswoman Priscilla Doggett said no corrections personnel were hurt, but she said she didn't know if the Metropolitan Transition Center was locked down or if it was fully under control. She said authorities were headed to the prison.
